It was a hot and sunny day today! The JK's enjoyed some extra outdoors time today during French class. We also ended the day with all PYP students throwing water balloons at the teacher's, as part of the Spring Fundraiser goal that we surpassed! End of Unit emails will continue this week.
Here are a few things we did today:
Daily 5-The JK's wanted to cool down inside and explore books in the Book Area.
Language-The students worked on their short word and sentence printing skills in their HWT booklets.
Math-The JK's were introduced to Canadian coins, the students had to match the name of each coin with a toy coin. We also explored the different attributes that each coin had that made them different then the other (eg. the loonie is gold colour and had a Canadian goose on one side).
Reminders:
-Creature Quest forms are going home today, please bring in forms and money by May 25th if you would like your child to participate. Creature Quest will be visiting our school on June 2nd.
-P.D. Day on May 19th and Victoria Day on May 22nd, the school is CLOSED.
-Casual Day is on May 31st.
