Here are a few things we did today:
Daily 5-The JK's had some quiet time exploring books in the Book Area, I challenged them to look for words that began with the first letter in their names.
Art-Ms. Kerr had the students trying out a variety of colours, using crayons and markers.
French-Ms. Hou continued to teach the students more vocabulary words that focused on Mammals.
Math-The students practiced their measurement skills, using different sized beanstalk pictures and had to place them in order from smallest to largest.
Reminder:
-End of Unit phone calls/emails are coming up soon, if you have a request please let me know via email or agenda by Friday, May 5th. Parents who do not have a request will receive a short email review.
-Spring Fundraiser trip to indoor playground is on May 3rd from 9:30-11 am. Students who brought in pledge forms that were $35 and more will be going on the trip, students who did not will stay in class with me.
-Legoland trip is on May 10th, please be at school by 9 am!!! Students are to dress in gym uniforms and parents who are volunteering, we will meet you there for 10 am.
-Spelling Bee Competition will take place May 15th. I have sent a form explaining the rules for the Spelling Bee Competition and the list of words in your child's Take Home bags.
