I am back! I was feeling under the weather yesterday, but I am much better now and was excited to start our Friday! Here are a few things we did today:
Daily 5-The JK's listened to a read a loud story titled Make Up Mess! By Robert Munch.
French-Ms. Hou had the students play a game of charades, the students had to guess the animal that the other student was drawing.
UOI-The JK's were excited to see the progress of the baby chicks in Mr. Ikbul's Science class. Last time we observed the chicks as just little eggs, the students could not believe how big the chicks got in just a few weeks! We came back to class to have a sharing circle and discuss what we observed and how it connected to what we learned about living things.
Math-Ms. Anne had an engaging sequencing activity that incorporated the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Reminders:
-Ms. Anne would like the JK's to bring in a family picture by May 30th, for a special presentation project.
-Arts Night will be June 7th and performances will begin at 7:00 pm. As part of the JK performance, we would like to ask parents to dress the students in bright colours and to be wearing an Afro wig (70's theme).
-For those who still have not brought in their Creature Quest forms and money, the very last day id Monday, May 29th, if you would like your child to participate. Creature Quest will be visiting our school on June 2nd.
