Hello JK parents!

I was very impressed with how well the JK's did with the in class Spelling Bee!  I told the class that I was very proud of them, I will announce who the top 3 students are for our class tomorrow, we are just waiting for a few students who were away today because they were sick.  We also had a sharing circle this morning to reflect on our trip to Legoland yesterday! The students shared what they liked best, what was the most fun and what would they like to try next time?
Here are a few more things we did today:
Daily 5-The JK's enjoyed exploring books on their own or with a partner today.
French-Ms. Hou had the students create Mother's Day cards in French.
Language/Mother's Day Craft-We continued finishing our surprise gifts!
Gym-Mr. McDonald had the students do more track and field drills to get them ready for tomorrow.

Reminders:
-Spelling Bee Competition will take place May 15th.  I have sent a form explaining the rules for the Spelling Bee Competition and the list of words in your child's Take Home bags.
-Track & Field Day is on May 12th, freezes will be on sale for $2 and proceeds will go to purchasing new gym equipment.
-P.D. Day on May 19th and Victoria Day on May 22nd, the school is CLOSED.
-Casual Day is on May 31st.
