Hello JK parents!

Happy Monday! Even though it was a rainy day, the JK's were busy learning about Birds and various ways to Measure for this week! Thank you again to everyone who participated and made a contribution to our Spring Fundraiser! We were able to reach our goal!!!
Daily 5-The JK's were engaged with Literacy Centers and practiced their letter name and sound skills, using puzzles, picture and word cards and books.
Language-The students worked on their short word and sentence printing skills in their HWT booklets.
Math-We explored the Inquiry Table and learned more about measuring with weights!  The JK's had the opportunity to use a variety of items in the classroom to determine which one weighed more.
UOI-We were engaged with a Life Cycle activity that taught the students more about Birds.

Reminders:
-Spring Fundraiser trip to indoor playground is on May 3rd from 9:30-11 am.  Students who brought in pledge forms that were $35 and more will be going on the trip, students who did not will stay in class with me.
-Legoland trip is on May 10th, please be at school by 9 am!!! Students are to dress in gym uniforms and parents who are volunteering, we will meet you there for 10 am.
-Spelling Bee Competition will take place May 15th.  I have sent a form explaining the rules for the Spelling Bee Competition and the list of words in your child's Take Home bags.
