I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! It was a beautiful Spring day outside today and we were busy learning more about Living Things and the letter of the week, lower case l.
Here are a few things we did today:
Daily 5-We practiced our letter recognition and sound skills with an engaging alphabet game! The JK's also listened to a read a loud titled My Dog is as Smelly as a Dirty Sock, which was brought in my Ronan.
French-Ms. Hou had the students classifying words that were Living or Nonliving Things in French!
Language-The Jk's practiced thier letter printing skills in their HWT booklets.
Math/UOI-The students were learning more about different kinds of animals, such as reptiles, mammals, amphibians, fish, insects and birds. Each student had to classify a picture of a living thing and determine what kind of animal was it.
Reminders:
-Legoland forms and money are due tomorrow! The trip will take place Wednesday, May 10th, students are to be at school before 9:15 am, parents who are volunteering will meet us at the location for 10:00 am.
-Easter Spirit Day is on Thursday, April 13th, students are to dress up in Easter colours.
-The school is CLOSED on April 14th and 17th.
