Hello JK parents!

What a beautiful Monday! The Jk's enjoyed exploring outside in the sun today.
Here are a few more things we did today:
Daily 5-The JK's were engaged in Literacy Centers today, they practiced their letter name and sound recognition skills using a variety of manipulatives.
Language-The students practiced their letter name and sound recognition skills with a game of SPLAT!  The JK's were spelling out short words that began with the letter g.
Math-We reviewed our 2D shape skills using a variety of cut out shapes, construction paper and glue to create pictures of houses.

Reminders:
-Transportation Projects are due March 3rd, each student is to create any type of transportation using recycled items found at home.  Each student is to being in their transportation on Friday and present to the class.  I still have some empty tissue boxes up for grabs!
-March 7th is the Fire Truck visit from 9:00 to 11:00 am, we are still looking for a few more parent volunteers to assist in supervising for that day.  If you are interested, please email me or write a note in your child's agenda.
