It's nice to be back! I hope everyone had a safe drive/commute home from the freezing rain that was expected today. Parent and Teacher emails and phone calls are almost all done, if I still have not contacted you regarding your child's progress please let me know.
Here are a few things we did today:
Daily 5-The students explored books individually or with a partner in the Book Area today.
Language-We continued learning the letter formation and sound of the lower case letter t, we practiced in our HWT booklets.
Math-We collaborated and practiced our 3D shape recognition skills and classifying skills, with an engaging 3D shape game.
Reminders:
-Reading graphs will be sent home February 9th.
-2D Shape presentation/Show & Tell will take place February 10th. Each student is to being in an item from home that looks like a 2D shape and will present in front of the class.
-Valentine's Day Spirit Day is on February 14th, students can dress up in Valentine's Day colours. If you would like to bring in cards for the other students there are 17 in total, food is not allowed due to allergies in the class and school.
-3D Shape presentation/Show &Tell will take place on February 15th. Each student is to being in an item from home that looks like a 3D shape and present in front of the class.
-100th Day of School Celebration will take place February 16th. Students may participate by dressing up like they are 100 years old! All Kindergarten classes will be participating, including the teachers!
-P.D. Day on February 17th and Family Day February 20th, the school will be CLOSED.
