Hello JK parents!

It was a foggy day today, but we did not let that keep us from learning and having fun!
Here are a few things we did today:
Daily 5-The students were engaged in Literacy Centers and practiced their letter recognition and phonetic skills, using matching card games and letter blocks.
Language-The JK's had so much fun with the SPLAT! game yesterday, they wanted to do it again today.
UOI-The students did such a great job presenting their poems yesterday that we learned a new transportation poem titled I'm a Little Airplane!  The students were risk takers and took turns reciting the poem to the class.

Reminders:
-Poem Presentations for the top three students in each class will take place on February 24th, the JK's that were chosen will present from 9-11 am.
-Fire Truck visit will take place March 7th from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the school, we will need a few parent volunteers to assist during the visit.  If you or know someone that would like to volunteer please email me.
-Transportation Project is due March 3rd, students are to create any type of transportation using recyclable items.  If you are in need of empty tissue boxes, I have a few in class that are up for grabs!
