Hello JK parents!

I hope that everyone had safe travels on the slippery roads today.  Here are a few things we did today:
Daily 5-The students explored in centers today and practiced their letter name and sound recognition skills, using a variety of manipulative.
French-Ms. Hou taught the students new words and a song related to transportation.
Language-We continued learning more about the letter C and demonstrated out early reading skills with a fun hide and seek game using short word cards.
Math- The JK's continued searching and matching 2D shapes in the classroom.

Reminders:
-An email has been sent to all the parents regarding the new online Hot Lunch order form.  You may now register and order lunched on line, money will still to be handed in to the teacher.
-International Day will take place this Friday, January 20th at 2:30 pm.  The auditorium will be open to all parents, guardians and students to visit the displays and sample all the yummy food!  We will also have a special guest from the Mississauga News Paper that will visit us.
-School Bake Sale is on January 24th and 25th, it is our turn to bring in yummy treat to do our part in supporting fundraising efforts for the school.  If you would like to participate, please bring in nut free treats on that day.
