I hope everyone got home safe from that snowy drive. Here are a few things we did today:
Daily 5-The students explored books in the Book Area on their own or with a partner today.
Language-The JK's practiced their early reading skills and role playing skills with a fun transportation activity, each student had to pretend to act out a type of transportation and travel to a familiar place they would find in their community.
Math-The Students worked individually or with a partner and matched a variety of pattern shapes blocks to create different types of transportation on mats. We also finished matching 3D shapes as a class.
Reminders:
-SJA Annual Oral Competition will take place February 24th, parents are welcome to come. JK poem in class presentations will take place on February 21st. I have placed a poem attached to a sheet providing more information about the event. Each student will present and memorize the poem assigned to them on February 21st in class. Good luck JK's!!!!
-Reading Assessment will be going home February 9th.
-Parent and Teacher phone calls or emails will be taking place in the next two weeks, if you have a specific request please let me know via email or your child's agenda. If I do not receive a request by February 3rd, I will email a short review of your child's progress.
