Hello JK parents!

Happy Monday and a new month of October!

Here are a few things we did today:
Daily 5-The students listened to a story titled Thanks For Thanksgiving and we brainstormed reasons what we were thankful for as a class.
Language- We learned about a new letter today, the letter P and practiced our phonetic and printing skills with a Alphabet Letter Box activity.
French-Ms. Hou continued to teach the students more about colours in french with a colouring activity.
Art-Ms. Kerr had a fun colour and matching art lesson for the students today.

Reminders:
-The grade 3 students are having a toy fundraiser to raise more money for the Terry Fox Foundation.  Beginning tomorrow and for the rest of the week, the grade 3 students are bringing in gently used toys to sell at school, toys can be purchased for $1 to $3.  If your child is interested in purchasing toys, please being in money in a labelled zip lock bag.
-School will be CLOSED for a PD day on Friday, October 7th and Monday, October 10th for Thanksgiving.
-Our class Show and Tell will begin this Thursday, October 6th.  The first 4 students for this week will be: Giovanni, Zane, Veda and Eric.  If you are not sure which day your child was assigned, I have stapled a list in each for your child's agendas.
