Hello parents!

We had a great first day! The morning was a little busy in the gym so Mrs. Padovan and I are informing all our JK parents about our change in drop off for tomorrow and Friday.  From 8:15am JK students are to be dropped off in their class.  If your child is dropped off in the gym or is part of the Before school program, a teacher will escort them to our class.  This will help the students with a smoother transition.
The JK's enjoyed learning the routines and rules of the school and classroom.  We listened to a story Monkey Not Ready For Kindergarten, how Monkey started his first day feeling scared, But by the end of the day, he enjoyed meeting his new friends.  We shared our own feelings about our first day!  We also worked on our letter recognition skills, by colouring the first letter of our names.  The JK's had Gym with Mr. H, French with Ms. Hou and Art class with Ms. Kerr.  We ended our day exploring with play dough and our number recognition skills with a play dough mat activity!
