Hello JK parents!

We survived our first big snow fall! The JK's had so much fun exploring the snow today.
Here are a few more things we did today:
Daily 5-The JK's wanted to look at books quietly in the Book area on their own and with a partner.
Language-The students practiced their letter I recognition, sound and formation skills.  Each student decorated the letter I using glue and construction paper.
Math-The JK's practiced their repeating patterns skills with a Christmas lights activity.
Science-We took some snow from outside and discussed how snow is made, the students also made a hypothesis of what will happen to the snow when we leave it inside.

Reminders:
-JK Pattern Day is on December 16th, students are to wear an article of clothing or bring in an item/object that has a pattern.  Each student will present their pattern.
-School Christmas Concert is on December 21st at 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm.  Students are to come dressed in their costumes.
